This beautiful family came to visit the Sonoran Desert all the way from Indiana! This gorgeous mama also just happens to be an amazingly talented photographer (you should definitely go check out some of her amazing work here if you have time) so when she hired me to capture their family in my neck of the woods I was truly honored. It was a gorgeous evening... we did a little exploring up on the top of Gate's Pass and then ended with a short drive down the west side to watch the sunset. It really couldn't have been more perfect! Also, as a bonus she was able to snap a few images of myself and my daughter who I'd brought along to be my assistant during our session together! So much fun!
So it's that time of year again... Graduation time! I wanted to talk a little bit today about a company called Basic Invite that has the most beautiful products for seniors. They really have everything you could possibly want! There are so many different types of stationary to choose from... gorgeous custom graduation invitations, graduation announcements and even awesome thank you cards for after graduation!
One of my favorite things about Basic Invite is that they are one of the few stationary websites that offer almost unlimited color options. Which we all love... am I right?! Once you make your design selection, you can change the color of each individual element on the card so it fits your style, down to the smallest details. Best of all there is an instant preview of your design so there's no guessing on how it is all going to look put together!
If you're not quite sure which design you like best or just need to see it in person before purchasing they are one of the few websites that gives you an option to order a printed sample of your actual invitation. This way you can see it in person while holding it in your hands to really get an idea of what you love as well as the quality before making your final decision.
Oh! And wait till I tell you about their envelope choices! There are over 40 different colors to choose from when it comes to your envelopes! Which is totally awesome, no more boring white envelopes! Another amazing feature is that all of their envelopes are peel and seal so they can be quickly and securely closed. You can also use Basic Invite's free address collection service to request your addresses with just three simple steps. All you have to do is share a link, collect addresses, and get free envelope printing. Super simple and convenient!
Hope you all have a wonderful graduation season! See you soon with more senior blog posts!
Can I please have more sessions with tiny cowboys! <3 Also, if you hire me for a sunset shoot I might just try convince you to hang out with me so I can capture the moonrise with you! I'm in love! Anyways... back to this adorable family! Could they be any more beautiful? We had such a wonderful evening at their home, playing in the desert and watching the sun set and the moon rise. I absolutely love when sessions are super laid back and we take our time. And I couldn't be more thrilled when clients include the furry members of the family!
I have been photographing this beautiful family since I first started my business. I have seen their little family grow from one tiny baby to now having two gorgeous little girls! We always have so much fun together, from the adorable little girls with their silly faces... to laughing about the extreme height difference between Emily and Jared. The struggle to find holes for him to stand in or little hills or rocks for her to stand on is real! Haha! Always makes for some good laughs when we're together. I'm so excited to share the gorgeous images from this evening with you...
The beginning of the year has been filled with sessions from some of my favorite people! So many of them are clients that have been with me since the beginning of my photography journey. This family in particular first came to me when that adorable little girl in the middle was just several months old... Since then we have done so many family sessions, I was there for Cedar's birth, and now I get to see them all grow up! Can't tell you how thankful I am for my job! This session didn't turn out quite as we had planned. The location we had chosen was beyond packed when we arrived. So we decided to go on a little four wheeling adventure up the mountain and just wing it! Turned out to be the best thing ever as you will see...
First of all I just want to start by saying this might just be my longest blog post ever & I'm not sorry. Where to even start with this family... I knew from the beginning they were going to be the perfect fit with the kind of work I do. Not only were they completely gorgeous but they were up for anything! "You want us to hike that mountain? Let's do it!". And a little later on... Me: "So sorry there is a dead javelina in the cave! It wasn't here the other day!" Them: "Don't worry about it at all! Standing next to a dead javelina is totally worth getting shots in the cave!" Haha! (I wish that was a joke but it's not unfortunately, you seriously never know what you're going to find out here in the desert!) Aside from that craziness, we had the most magical evening. We played and explored three different locations... It truly was a gift adventuring with this beautiful couple, documenting a love that has stood the test of time for 20 years and added 2 beautiful children to this world.
